נִסְכָּא, נִי׳II (preced. wds.) cast metal. Sabb.59b, v. אֲנִיסְכָּא.Esp. a piece of silver or gold, bar, opp. to מטבע, coined metal. B. Kam.96b האי מאן דגזיל נ׳וכ׳ if one steals a piece of metal and makes it into coins. Ib. 98a שבח לעניין נ׳ he profits by the increased value of the metal. Keth.110b ואימא נ׳ but may not ‘silver in the agreement mean metal (not coins)?; Men.107a; a. e.B. Bath.33b היינו נ׳ דר׳ אבאוכ׳ this is a case corresponding to that of a metal bar which R.
